Welcome to my world

"my goulash philosophy"©

No matter where you come from
or where you are going...
you are touched, prodded and pulled along,
by the one thing we all have in common...
human emotions.

If you are able to laugh,
with
others and at yourself,
life will be a whole lot easier. chh

Army Family
Twenty-two years and counting!

This is a photo of our good friend, MAJ Johnny Borden, with country artist Charlie Daniels. This photo was taken in Arifjan, Kuwait on 14 April 2006.

We have thousands of American troops stationed all over the world. They are there insuring our freedom with their lives EVERY DAY... and not just in Iraq. There is a way to say "THANK YOU."

America Supports You is a wonderful site with a multitude of ways you can show your support for our troops. Everything from donating your frequent flyer miles to purchasing a phone card so a soldier can call home. There are hundreds of ways you can help that don't cost money. If nothing else, PLEASE take a few moments of your time to send an e-mail letter to a soldier, any soldier, any where, just click HERE.

God bless ALL of the artists who take time to travel all over the world to entertain our soldiers.

Click on photo to stop scroll and read names of artists. My heartfelt thanks to all of the artists who posed for me.

"He's Coming Home" (written by Dillon Dixon/D. Vincent Williams) sung by COWBOY CRUSH

In my real world job as a journalist I've actually met, and interviewed, Cowboy Crush and I am certain that their support of our military, and the military family members, comes from their hearts. They include military bases in their tour when ever they can.

The following words of wisdom, and the majority of my own goulash philosophy, was passed
on to me courtesy of my mother, Evelyn B. McAdoo MacKenzie     Thanks, Ma ... I love you.

Nothing is a mistake if it teaches you something.

Your only limitations are within your own mind.

It is what we give, unselfishly, of ourselves
that is the true measure of who we are.

Sometimes it is necessary to experience pain to
be able to appreciate life in the absence of pain.

Dreams can become a reality
if you believe in God and in yourself.
Never put the responsibility for your own
happiness onto someone else.
No one is born with prejudice. Always be true to yourself.
The only real treasures on earth are
the people you love who love you back
and genuine love really is unconditional.
Here is a test to find whether your
mission on earth is finished:
 If you're alive, it isn't.

Life is much too short to waste.
Strive to be happy!

Place your mouse on the X below and drag it to the O.
X Even though you can't see Him, GOD is there! O

Army of One 82nd Airborne><font color=An Army of One

  Resolute with heads held high,
Best and brightest of a generation,
Ready and willing to give their lives,
For the cause of liberation.

Fighting for freedom and liberty,
These young heroes of our great nation,
Sharing a special camaraderie,
Joined as one to achieve their mission.

Always with us in our prayers and reveries,
Evoking a smile, a tear,
As they fight with honor and bravery
For the values we hold dear.

Specialist Luke Watts - 82 Airborne Division and to ALL who serve.
(A heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Watts for allowing me to share his poem.)

Mr. Watts isn't the only talented writer in his family;
his nephew, Steven Clawson, is a very gifted singer/songwriter.
I would encourage you to drop by his website and give him a listen.
